Taking Attendance 11/6/2016: The Big List [UPDATED]
Now that all the leagues of consequence on these shores have completed their regular seasons (and only two, MLS and the NASL, are still to crown champions), here’s a combined list of the 83 North American outdoor soccer clubs for which I have any attendance data for the 2016 season. EDIT: It’s now 84, as the Fresno Fuego graciously provided their numbers.
Some information (especially at the very low levels) is incomplete. I am grateful to that handful of clubs in the PDL and NPSL who have sent me any data at all and to the readers who have contributed to filling in the gaps.
So, without further ado, here is the list, ranked from 1-84 by average announced attendance. As always, corrections and additions are welcome in the comments below or by emailing me.
