Prediction: The Revolution's Boston stadium will happen when the NSRL happens (self.MLS)
That right, all you have to wait for is a major tunnel to dug underneath Central Boston between North and South Station and the Revs will get their stadium.
Now before you say "what those two things are totally unrelated" read the whole post.
Boston is the 3rd Densest major city in the country, and the 3rd most expensive as well, so building a stadium is increasingly difficult as population and real estate prices go up.
However, since there are two separate rail systems Amtrak and MBTA Commuter rail needs two rail yards in the immediate urban core of Boston, Widett Circle and North Point because thru Traffic is not possible at this time. With the NSRL those two rail yards could be consolidated leaving large amounts of open space in either East Cambridge or between South Boston and the South End for development, and likely the last large piece of land left in the Urban Core. One would be along the Red Line or the other along the Orange line so it would be perfect.

The Liberation of Ricky Hill
Ricky Hill is finally free.
What many people didn’t realize is why he wasn’t. We’ll get to that in a moment.
But first, some background.
After signing a three-year contract extension on April 22nd of 2014, the former Rowdies coach had a difficult year, and despite all the praise and confidence that was presented by team owner Bill Edwards earlier in the year, he was summarily dismissed by telephone the evening of November 17th of the same year. The next morning, a hastily thrown together press conference took place on the then-still baseball field of Al Lang stadium, where new General Manager Farrukh Quraishi was introduced. At the very bottom of the single page press release given to all those who attended was the single isolated sentence,:
“Head coach Ricky Hill will not return for the 2015 season.”
After more than three years at the helm, a SoccerBowl Championship, a Coach of the Year Award, 3 Fair Play Awards, and an overall coaching record of 46-37-37 – at the time the 2nd best record in modern NASL history behind MNUFC’s Manny Lagos, and still only surpassed by NY Cosmos coach Gio Savarese – Ricky Hill was fired, and has not coached since.

The Rowdies fourth consecutive shutout victory at Al Lang Stadium continued the club’s month-long surge back into contention for first place in the East. While it will need the Independence to start slipping up from time-to-time to have a chance at top spot, the Rowdies can also help their own cause when it comes to homefield advantage in the playoffs by improving on the road. Tampa Bay is just 1-4-5 away from home this season, a number it will look to change on Sunday against Saint Louis FC.

3. FEAR THE BEARD: Tampa Bay Rowdies goalkeeper Matt Pickens made his 100th appearance for the club on Saturday night, and as a present, the rest of the team almost managed to get the veteran a night off. Pickens did have to make a pair of saves to record a shutout in a 3-0 victory against the Harrisburg City Islanders, but the performance was one that pushed the Rowdies back into the conversation for top spot in the USL Eastern Conference, now level on points with Charleston in third place, two points back of Charlotte. The Rowdies are now 4-0-0 in their last four games at Al Lang Stadium, and have outscored opponents 9-0 in the process. Tampa Bay needs to up its road form and will visit Saint Louis next weekend with that in mind, but right now, no one will be looking forward to a trip to Florida when the playoffs arrive if the Rowdies are in this sort of form.
