Leiweke Gets In The Media Game with SportTechie

The Oak View Group is continuing to prepare itself to be a force for “positive disruption” of the live entertainment industry, investing in a media company and preparing for a larger shakeup of the trade publishing space.

Today, the group led by Tim Leiweke and Irving Azoff announced a lead investment in SportTechie, a four-year-old digital media company co-founded by CEO Taylor Bloom. Vintage Capital Investments is participating in the funding round, which will finance the sports technology site’s expansion across digital platforms with new video and podcast initiatives.
