Numbers continue to look rough...our fifth straight sub 5k match. From what I hear at the team, Season Ticket deposits for next year appear to be good, but this is a really rough stretch.

Weather for the game ended up being great, but pregame not-so-much. Advance sales for the last two matches already look better than they have for the last stretch. Hoping they turn the ticket specials back on for those two and create a real home field advantage. (I know as STH, we were upset with these, but we already know that next year is a major improvement, so personally I wouldn't be upset if the flash sales or combos or whatever came back for a couple of games).

Two promotions that worked really well in English football are "football for a fiver" and "pay what you can". Charlton have had the football for a fiver promotion in which every seat in the stadium is 5 pounds. Brentford's pay what you can special set the minimum price on tickets to 1 pound, but people could pay more if they wanted. Both of these worked really well and brought packed stadiums. I think either of these promotions would get newcomers through the door as well as encourage casual fans who may normally not go because of cost. Pay what you can is really fascinating...I read about a restaurant (I think in London) that was doing that for breakfast recently...

It works even better when paired up with a charitable cause for a night. Could be an option with the team's Go Gold campaign

Interestingly the last couple years, Edward ran a campaign where if we sold out (or got "x" number) we'd donate more more to Go Gold...that seemed to help down the stretch...

Went to one in Raleigh while we were up for the NCFC away day. You can can also volunteer for your meal by working the register or other types of volunteering. They don’t turn anyone away. Great atmosphere since everyone felt welcome.

According to a press release I received from the Florida Cup organizers, no actual Florida Cup games will be played in St Petersburg this year, but the two Bundesliga clubs (who aren't participating in the Florida Cup itself) will play at Al Lang on January 9th 2020.

From the release (translated by Google)

" In 2020, the format of the competition will follow the same 2019 with four participating clubs. In the coming weeks the organizers will release the game table with the clashes.

Besides the four games that will be held at Exploria Stadium, home of the Orlando City, on 15 and 18 January, the novelty will be an exhibition match between two teams of the Bundesliga, days before the tournament starts: Eintracht Frankfurt, who returns to Orlando after playing the Florida Cup in 2019, and Hertha Berlin. The Germans will face off on January 9, single friendly match which will mark the official opening of the event in 2020.

The match will be played at Al Lang Stadium in St. Petersburg, FL. For calendar account next year, the German clubs will not participate in the tournament. Even so, they made it count with the preparation of excellence offered by the organization's Florida Cup in January.

"By participating in the event, in January this year, we saw that Florida Cup offers the ideal framework for our preparation. Also, we are looking forward to the match against Hertha and strengthen our international activities," said the CEO of the club, Fredi Bobic.

"The return of big clubs is further validation of our work. We are very proud of the partnership with the DFL. It will be an honor to receive the Germans again in Florida to participate in our event, which today goes beyond the four lines of the field." Added the CEO of the Florida Cup, Ricardo Villar."

That is a LOT of foul territory on the 1st base side. Cool find!!

The current structure of the stadium as we know it wasn’t built until 1977, pretty crazy to see how many different ways you can put a ballpark on the same plot of land over the years.
