Kona Grill CEO, Four Peaks founder, Dodgers pitcher buy soccer team

An ownership group led by Kona Grill CEO Berke Bakay has bought the Arizona United Soccer Club.

The team was sold by local advertising executive Kyle Eng.

The new ownership group also includes Riester Advertising CEO Tim Riester, JLL Managing Director Mark Detmer, Connect Wireless CEO Dave Stearns, Four Peaks Brewing Co. co-founder Jim Scussel, Capital Real Estate Inc. President Richard Hauser and Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Brandon McCarthy.

Arizona United plays in the United Soccer League. The team plays its home games at Scottsdale Stadium. The USL has 29 teams.
