Rowdies Home Attendance Thread - Game 8 vs. North Carolina FC [6/8]

Attendance Thread

5,167 was the number which was actually surprisingly better than what I thought it would be going into the game. Ticket sales looked rough leading up to the match, but quite a bit of the stadium filled up. (I predicted it would be sub-5k on Friday.) Threat of weather could have kept some walkups at bay.

Next couple matches will be interesting. Do people turn out for the doubleheader? How big does Pride Night get (it's the weekend after the parade)?

I think this may have been discussed here before, but do you know how ticket prices plays into these numbers? Do Indy and Sacramento offer $8 seats?

I doubt the data is available, but it would be great to see an idea of seat-revenue. 10k tickets at $10 is not as strong as 5k tickets $20 in my opinion.

Loan Roundup – June 10

Nazmi Albadawi

Position: Midfielder

Result: 3-1 win at the Tampa Bay Rowdies

Albadawi collected an assist in North Carolina FC’s biggest win this season Saturday night in a 3-1 win against the Tampa Bay Rowdies.

In the 19th minute, Albadawi found Andre Fortune open in the box and saw Fortune turn the pass into a clever back post shot to take the lead. With the win, Carolina snapped Tampa Bay’s unbeaten start to the 2019 season.

As for the Palestinian international, he completed 32 passes with an 82.4% accuracy in Tampa Bay’s half.

USL power ratings: June 10, 2019 [OC]

Despite the first loss of the season, Tampa remains projected atop the Eastern Conference table. Third-strongest team in the East, though, so there will likely be some twists and turns along the way.

Questions From First Time Rowdy Fans Regarding Al Lang/Tickets

A group of friends and I are attending the game against Charleston this Saturday and we have the following questions:

Where is the best place to buy tickets from?

What section should we sit in if we would like to be in the thick of the Rowdy supporters?

Do supporters frequent any bars/pubs before and after the games?

Thank you very much for your time.

Ticketmaster is the partnered retailer for tickets, there are are no extra fees for getting them there, can do on the app or the website and they can scan your phone on the way in, or of course printed out tickets.

The Ralph's Mob section, the loudest and rowdiest fans, are in the middle of general admission, section 307 (i think). You can just get a general admission ticket and stand with the mob (as long as you are cool with singing and chanting the whole game ;))

The Mob partnered bar is Thirsty First, you can always find fans in there pregame, but there are also tailgates in the parking lot as well as a general spread of fans throughout downtown.

It is a little quiet on the MLS expansion front for Sacramento Republic FC. But make no mistake, this is just the quiet before the storm.

The mayor muses on the stadium that was lost, and the one that might happen

Cashman is the perfect neighborhood, she tells me, with a soccer-loving and diverse population.

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The mayor of Las Vegas says it turns out it was a good thing we never built that soccer stadium at Symphony Park.

“Which, we see now, as medical, and we see it as convention, and the World Market Center, and the Ruvo Cleveland clinic, housing, we’ve got apartments going in and a huge cultural statement” she told me in her 7th floor, window-filled office at city hall, overlooking the 61 acres that are finally showing real signs of life. Symphony Park, as the name implies, is the home of the Smith Center, Las Vegas’ hub of music, performance and culture.

In hindsight, the pro-soccer stadium push back in 2015 was the “wrong place for the sports arena,” she says.

So, fast forward four years, and the city again will approach Major League Soccer.
